The new Optimum Alto Saxophone Mouthpieces represent a break from the current French-style mouthpieces! The design is reminiscent of vintage mouthpieces in their shape. The side walls are parallel but the throat is round and leads to a round (not excavated, but round) chamber. The result is refined French sound but with more depth and warmth than the Selmer mouthpieces. Articulation, ease of response and intonation are superb.
